Lekhak – Varidhi

Hi,
I’m Varidhi, your go-to freelance SEO content writer with a passion for research and analysis.
With my background in research, I’m all about making my writing not just engaging but also
highly relevant and backed by data.
My specialty lies in creating long-form articles and blogs, that not only educate and engage
readers but also drive organic traffic. My favourite topics? Education, Edtech, Fintech, and
Economics.
However, I’m always open to learning new things and exploring new topics. The curious kid in me
is always hungry for more knowledge 🙂
When I’m not writing, you can find me lost in the pages of a good book- I’ve been a bookworm
since childhood. Little did I know that my love for reading would blossom into a full-fledged
career in content writing.
My passion for reading helps bring a fresh perspective to my writing.
Right after graduating in Economics in 2019, I took a shot at Civil Services. After preparing for
two years, I decided to enter the public policy field.
But these two years weren’t a waste.
I learned a great deal from my civil services preparation – from space technology to geopolitics
and everything in between. I became more aware of things around me and developed a balanced
view of everything. And this shows up in my writing.
Then, I got the opportunity to work as a Data analyst Intern at NITI Aayog. I conducted a block-
level study of Aspirational Districts and drafted a research paper on Corporate Sector
responsibility (CSR) activities in Aspirational Districts. And got my hands dirty with all things
analytical.
I always wanted to work in the public policy sector. And getting the opportunity to work at NITI
Aayog was like a dream come true. I got to work with senior government officers, public policy
experts, and statisticians. It was a great learning experience for me.
My next stop- a student-led think-tank called ‘Niti Tantra.’ There, I wrote articles, policy briefs, and
research papers on government schemes and policies.
In May 2022, I began working as an Analyst at the Quality Council of India, which is an
autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Commerce & Industries. Here, I witnessed the
massive effort behind running various government schemes and policies.
While at QCI, I co-authored a report to be published by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs
(MoHUA) and drafted various document briefs. It has helped me sharpen my analytical and
writing skills.

But that’s not all.
In the span of a year, I got the opportunity to interact with various government officials and
statisticians. It helped in improving my communication skills to a great extent.
I’ve always been an introverted person- but now, I’m more self-confident.
But guess what?
A year later, I realized that a 9-5 job wasn’t my cup of tea. I was no longer satisfied with what I
was doing.
It was time for a change!
At this point, I realized that I wanted to become a freelancer. So, in July 2023, I bid goodbye to my
9-5 job.
Initially, I was clueless about how to build a freelancing career. But then Google became my best
friend. I started reading about various fields that offer freelance opportunities.
And there it was – content writing!
I knew that this was what I would love doing. With my background in research and data analysis,
content writing was a match made in heaven. I could use both of these skills to start a career in
content writing.
So, in July, I enrolled in a 3-month long content writing course and started reading to learn more
about content writing. I also did short courses on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Content
Marketing, and Content Strategy to get a more thorough understanding of this field.
However, simply completing these courses wasn’t enough.
I started applying the theoretical knowledge I obtained from these courses. It helped me identify
the areas that need improvement.
Fast forward to September, I wrote a blog ‘Top 8 fantastic financial literacy apps for teens in
2023’. Within 15-20 days, it ranked 3rd on Google’s first page (SERP). And it’s still hanging out
there after three months.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this.
My excitement level knew no bounds when I realized that my other blog ‘How to tackle top 10
challenges of educational technology in teaching’ had hit the featured snippet spot on Google.

Seeing your blog appear in the featured snippet is the most amazing feeling for an SEO content
writer.

These small victories keep me going, pushing me to learn more. They have made me more
confident in my abilities.
Since the last four months, I’ve been on a mission- connecting and interacting with amazing
freelance content writers from around the globe. I’m constantly trying to learn from their
experiences and soaking every bit of wisdom.
And you know what?
In the process, I’ve gathered some good tips and tricks for becoming a good content writer.
So, if you ask me what the magic formula is for making it big in the content writing world, I would
say: consistency, good networking skills, and the willingness to learn continuously.
These three things are the secret ingredients to succeed as a content writer.
In the past few months, I’ve learned that it’s never too late to start something new if you’re willing
to put in hard work with sincerity and determination.
So, this is my journey- from Data Analyst to Content Writer!
